Devon “Daddy D” Sawyer is a DJ, Nightclub Owner, and skilled Fisherman from Harbour Island, Bahamas. Devon has been DJing for the last 24 years, starting at local bars, like Gusty’s, the Vic Hum, Seagrapes, Barettas, and other parties. He has always been gifted at bringing people together, skilled at luring everyone to the dance floor. He quickly created a loyal local and tourist following. Devon opened his own bar, Daddy Ds, in 2009, giving him the freedom to create his own scene after years of working with others. He has been the top choice DJ for weddings and upscale events for many years, gaining additional popularity after his bar opened.
Devon comes from a hardworking, musical and entrepreneurial family. Both parents, siblings and relatives are extremely talented musicians and business owners. Each one adds to the special fabric of the community.
Devon deeply values the power of music and the ability to get people on the dance floor. He’s always the life of the party, making everyone he comes close to feel special. Growing up on the water, Devon has developed a close relationship with the ocean and considers it a truly spiritual entity. He started fishing professionally 15 years ago, having a sixth sense at reading the water, much like his ability to read a room. Between his fishing trips and DJ sets, Devon inspires everyone to seize the day and have as much fun as possible
